Gad Restaurants, Egypt

Gad is a home grown chain of Egyptian restaurants around the country (started in Alexandria I think). I have been to many Gad’s in Cairo and some say they are the Egyptian McDonalds. However they are much better and cheaper then Mccy D’s…
More info about Gad will be coming soon.

Metro is a large chain of Supermarket’s that can be found all around Cairo. They push their services towards expats with English signs, English speaking radio and many imported choices… Generally I find them a little overpriced but often useful for the odd hard to find item.
I’ll bring more details and location info soon….
